Just a couple of miles from my job and home, there was a huge fire last week. The smoke is still lingering, depending on which way the wind is blowing, and at work it gets inside and everyone's been coughing for days. I'm ready for it to pass.

Black Friday Music Day
While the rest of you are with friends and family celebrating, some of us irregular internet columnists are working hard to open our Friday columns early on Thursday evening with great deals on random tens. If you submit your random ten between when this column opens and 10pm CST, you get a second bonus random ten* -- at no cost -- just come back on Friday after 7am to redeem it.
Now that's something to be thankful for!

No players with connections to the Minnesota Twins appear to have been born on this day. The closest we come is Billy Moran, who was part of a three-team trade involving Minnesota, Cleveland, and the Los Angeles Angels. Minnesota acquired Frank Kostro and Jerry Kindall and sent Lenny Green and Vic Power to Los Angeles. Billy Moran was sent from the Angels to Cleveland in that trade.
The staff of Happy Birthday would like to wish everyone a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
November 27, 2014: Thanks, I Guess
I don't even consider this holiday anymore. It's just a work day. Even though I enjoy the shift, I resent it. There was nothing wrong with the way we used to do this.
Johnny Cash – Thanksgiving Prayer
I was going to come up with a joke but yadda yadda yadda go stuff a turkey.
This clip is half-baked live enough for our purposes today. Have a safe one out there, you guys.

Three one-run games. One of them goes extra innings.
Cup of Coffee: Graveyard
Looks like most of the office is already on break.
I and a few others get screwed because this is busy season, and planning to take days off is more pain than it's worth.
Those other suckers often have to work on 4th of July and between Christmas and New Year's though.
