@wgom@wgom.org now exists on Mastodon. Unfortunately I didn't figure out the right setting until after the Cup posted so the first you see should be today's game log. It's using the WordPress logo right now but eventually I'll figure out to change it.

Yep, it already exists. There's no plugin for it yet and I'm not sure if the API is even stable. Mastodon/ActivityPub is more stable and there's a good plugin for it now so that got done first.

An interesting Fangraphs article on how Arraez's super high batting average, while based on a repeatable skill, is built to where it's very easy for that magic to stop working.
And in August, it hasn't been working.
I really liked Arraez when he was with the Twins and hope he wins another four batting titles, but I don't think the Twins regret the trade in the slightest.
I saw that article too and felt better about the trade.
The WAR difference has shrunk too and FanGraphs now has López well ahead of Arraez. BR uses DRS and that likes Arraez at +4 runs overall but FG must use OAA now because that's -8 runs. A couple other minor differences fill out the final four runs.

per Fangraphs WAR, Pablo is leading Luis 4.2 to 3.1. Nope, not in the slightest.
Especially when you look at organizational depth at pitcher vs 1b/2b/DH
I kind of stopped following Arraez a month or so ago. I was vocally reluctant about the trade, but Pablo has made a believer out of me.
I still have room for several more Homer Hankies along the top of my office wall, so keep 'em comin', boys
