Jerry Lee Lewis is a controversial figure . Its hard to buy albums and support artists like that. I think thats why I have not purchased any Ike and Tina Turner music. I don't want to give any money to Ike. (well, to his estate). Michael Jackson the same. I suppose if one have an ethical beef against music artists, ones record collection would be pretty slim. I dont know, this question is probably worthy of a deeper discussion sometime down the road.
Here is Jerry and all his ego singing Me and Bobby McGee

Its always fun to trash on Sting, but he rocked out during the crescendo here. But the real star is Stewart Copeland on drums unfortunately the camera/director does not agree.

So, between long hours at work and OMG A SOCIAL LIFE for the first time in what feels like 10 years AND west coast games, I haven't paid much attention to the Twins this week. The big hullabaloo is Oswaldo Arcia being DFA'd. Am I supposed to offer a hot taek about this? I don't know I supposed. But really I just don't care. I want players to succeed. Arcia probably plateaued his success as a Twin (in their eyes) and let him go. I do hope he does well. Maybe on a Danny Valencia path of success. I will not boo him. Also, I will not criticize the Twins 15 years later when Arcia is an almost HoFer like David Ortiz. Because that argument is boring. Its baseball, life moves on.
Or, maybe the 2016 Twins are being Nihilists and want to see how far the boundaries can go before everything snaps.
Oh goody. Its going to be a weekend of "woe is me" from everywhere because its David Ortiz's last games in Minnesota (barring playoffs!). Because something that happened in 2003 (There are about two generations of Twins fans that never saw Ortiz play in a Twins uniform. I mean, David ortiz once played in a game where Bob Tewksbury was the starting pitcher and Terry Steinbach was catching. Ortiz has been around forever) is affecting the current state of the Twins now.
Makes me wonder what would happen if Joe Mauer was let go or traded and then has a couple of banner seasons. Would the Boo Joe Mauer crowd boo the Front Office for letting a good player go? I dont know.
I do now I get tired about the Twins blunder. Why can't people let go ?
Late night baseball + holiday weekend + terrible baseball team = maybe 20 comments for tonight's game?
Even if the Twins were fielding a decent team, it would be a tough task to garner a win because King Felix is on the bump for the Mariners. Pat "I'm not Dizzy" Dean goes for the locals.
Its been a long tough week for me, I hope the Twins put on a good show just to lift my spirits.
