Fun early video. These guys were a great, kinda cultish, band that mostly played on the east coast but made forays west as well. Their discography is on all the streaming services if interested.

Loading... The other day Jeff A mentioned that he didn’t see the big deal about Pancho and Lefty. In true Padre fashion, he admitted that it was a popular song, he just didn’t get it. Well Pancho and Lefty is a popular song. Considered Townes Van Zandt’s best song, covered numerous times. Even considered the 17th greatest western ong ever written by American Cowboy magazine. (True story). The song has earned its bona fides.
It got me thinking, are there popular, well regarded songs out there that you “should” like given your particular tastes but just don’t? I know someone who is a big Beatles fan, but can’t stand Hey Jude. How about you?

This is the part of the write up where I would complain about MLB scheduling two mid-week games against our natural NL rival and how stupid it is, but I've been beaten down. Obviously MLB doesn't care and we will experience the same next year as well. Whatever MLB.
Chase Anderson on the mound for the Brewers as the Twins get to face the back end of the rotation. Anderson has been decent this year with a 5-2 record and 3.70 ERA. He gets just under 1 strikeout per inning. Twins bats should get to him. Talking about the back end of the rotation, Twins put up Martin Perez who has been downright awful lately. Probably the only reason he's still in the starting rotation is that Miguel Perez is still hurt.
Game at 7:10p Should be an interesting match up and a couple of games that would be nice to win.

Well that was a fun, big boy win last night, Odorizzi looking like his spring 2019 self, Mays hitting 100 on the radar gun to finish 2 solid innings, Jake Cave botching a simple grounder in the outfield, Sano’s pitch hit blast... Here’s a little Freealonzo Fun Fact: Last time the Twins beat Atlanta with a walk off homerun in Minneapolis, these same two teams played the next day and the Twins, with their ace on the mound, won in extras. Can history repeat itself?!?
Atlanta has Mike Foltynewicz on the mound who's back to the bigs after pitching about as well as I can pronounce his name earlier in the season. A 6.37 ERA, more hits than innings pitched, and a 2-5 record on a first place team. Also the dude gives up nearly 2.5 bombas per 9 innings so sorry 1964 Twins home run record, looks like your place in history could be gone by 10:30p tonight.

Tonight I’ll be seeing Willie Nelson at Target Center. This is a bucket list show for me as I have never seen the Red Headed Stranger. Given that Willie is 86-1/2 years old, it very much could be the last chance I’ll have too.
Now I know he relies pretty heavily on his family at these shows but who cares, it’s Willie Freakin’ Nelson.
So does anyone have any bucket list artists they want to see? After tonight it will be Van Morrison, Patty Griffin, and Radiohead for me.
