We would like to wish a very happy birthday to Mom Runner.
Just a couple of miles from my job and home, there was a huge fire last week. The smoke is still lingering, depending on which way the wind is blowing, and at work it gets inside and everyone's been coughing for days. I'm ready for it to pass.
While the rest of you are with friends and family celebrating, some of us irregular internet columnists are working hard to open our Friday columns early on Thursday evening with great deals on random tens. If you submit your random ten between when this column opens and 10pm CST, you get a second bonus random ten* -- at no cost -- just come back on Friday after 7am to redeem it.

No players with connections to the Minnesota Twins appear to have been born on this day. The closest we come is Billy Moran, who was part of a three-team trade involving Minnesota, Cleveland, and the Los Angeles Angels. Minnesota acquired Frank Kostro and Jerry Kindall and sent Lenny Green and Vic Power to Los Angeles. Billy Moran was sent from the Angels to Cleveland in that trade.
The staff of Happy Birthday would like to wish everyone a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
I don't even consider this holiday anymore. It's just a work day. Even though I enjoy the shift, I resent it. There was nothing wrong with the way we used to do this.
