I suppose it's no coincidence that Lent can be good for the weight-loss, given that both diet and Lenten sacrifice are primarily about self-restraint. Opposite goals, but the same result (cause fasting is designed to make you closer to God, while dieting is designed to keep you further away from meeting him)(eh? eh?).
February 13th, 2013: Missing the Cold
I didn't see anyone set the timer on the coffee pot, so I made a fresh one. Its been relatively hot down here in Florida, and I don't like it because its February and I have 31 of those telling me its supposed to be cold. Its no revelation that I enjoy cold weather, but I definitely miss it right now. Shorts in February. Bah, I say!

Marching Bands – McDonogh 35 and Walker High Schools

The big parades in New Orleans end in the Convention Center. Bands, floats, everything enter the convention center. Seeing these bands (along with St. Aug's Marching 100) are the reason I think all parades outside of New Orleans are lame. You will never find "attitude" in a band like you do in New Orleans. Happy Mardi Gras! Laissez Bon Temps Rouler!

WGOM Fitness: 11 February 2013, Vacation
I was on vacation last week. I worked out 1 time. It was just lifting, no aerobic stuff. It actually felt really good. I didn't eat the best, but I didn't eat the worst, so I'm ok with where I was on that too. Continue reading WGOM Fitness: 11 February 2013, Vacation
