I have been exposed to so much new music here, through FMD and the DJs (to whom I sincerely apologize to for my very uneven listening and voting. Y'all put in so much work. Don't think it goes unnoticed or unappreciated) I'd say the top three (in no particular order) favorites I've found via the Basement are:

  • The Hold Steady
  • Sturgill Simpson
  • Dinosaur Jr

Let's kick this week off right. FTLT and I were at this concert back in June, and judging from the video not too far from the person taking this. The weather was terrible all day, but broke about 30 minutes before the Hold Steady went on. The show ended up being awesome, though the whiskey and singing along meant I couldn't talk very well for a few days.

I'm back in the sweet part of the states, you guys. I've missed Minnesota ever since we alighted for the territories, but it's just now dawning on me that I haven't lived here in almost a decade. That's hard to believe.
