    Woo-hoo!

Chris Parmelee has nothing to learn in Rochester.

Parmelee has only 158 career PAs in AAA, so I think he can still benefit from more experience at that level. Hopefully, he's following Plouffe's development: former first-round pick with mediocre numbers getting advanced through the system before alternating between AAA and the majors and dominating in AAA before finally establishing himself in the majors.

    1. The difference is that I don't see Parmelee as having mediocre numbers. In only two of his seven seasons has he had an OPS below .800 (granted two others were just barely there). Plouffe's best OPS before 2011 was .736 in 2007. Last year in New Britain Parmelee hit .287/.366/.436. This year in Rochester (158 PA), he's hitting .349/.468/.628. He's not a kid--he's twenty-four. If the Twins were fighting for a pennant, it would be different, but they're not. Bring him up so he can learn at the big league level.

        1. yeah, it seems that in his time with the club this year he was riding a lot of pine. i'd only support calling him up only if you were going to actually use him.

          1. Oh, I fully agree with that, but that's on Gardy. Among first base, DH, and right field, there ought to be enough at-bats for him on a club that's going nowhere.
