First Monday Book Day: Now You See Me…
Back in college I took a two-semester course called "Great Books," wherein all we did was read and discuss (and I suppose there were some papers?) great books. The professor provided a list of 100 great books (it wasn't the Time 100, or any other known list, just the professor's own, but there was obviously a substantial overlap with such lists) and we read maybe 12 - 15 books a semester. Pitcher Jake Levy had a minor league career that started in 1921 and lasted until 1945. He played under a variety of names, making it difficult to determine his true record, but he won at least two hundred games. He was also a good hitter, and early in his career played in the field when he was not pitching.
Augie Garrido is the baseball coach at the University of Texas and has the most coaching wins of anyone in Division I.
You may have heard of that "Babe Ruth" fellow.

All day yesterday, my hamstrings ached and really, my whole body was still feeling the effects of Sunday's workout. I decided that today will be a day off. My muscles need rest after five consecutive hard workouts. Continue reading WGOM Fitness: 5 February 2013, Day Off
