I've got one of those nine hour shifts that kills the day at both ends. If I'm going to do that, I'd rather just dispense with all pretenses of free time and work open to close.

Game 98: Twins in La La Land?
MID-AFTERNOON GAME ALERT!!!
Mike Pelfrey at Jered Weavers.
You can't trust the Frey's but at least they don't play in California. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Oh and congrats on the best twin having twin catching girls. They'll probably be good at basketball and football too.
Go TWINS!
Minor Details: Games of 7/23
Twins affliates are swept. Oswaldo Arcia is pulled. On the plus side, Sano and Buxton each homered.

Mike Port is a long-time major league baseball executive, serving as the general manager of the California Angels from 1984-1991.

July 24, 2013: So Quiet
My girls have been gone for three days now, and the silence in here is deafening. I'm starting to miss them terribly - much too soon considering there are eleven days to go - but I'll admit the Milkmaid and I have enjoyed taking time off from a few responsibilities.

i resisted the urge to stylize that as "LAAAAAAAAA Freeway".

Game 97: The Twins Way Over Where Days Last Forever and the Game Never Starts
Gibson (2-2, 6.45 ERA) vs. Hanson (4-2, 5.10 ERA)
Well, the Twins are out on the West Coast, which from a "following the game" standpoint might as well be the other side of the world. Because of that, I have no idea what is going on. What I've been able to gather is that the Angels also suck, most likely still reeling from the loss of ii's leadership.
2013 Game 96 Recap: Twins 4, Earth’s Team 3
So, my internet went out halfway through the game and I was unable to see the Twins close this one out. What I did get to see is Clete Thomas go into Beast Mode and further establish himself as the 3.5th outfielder the Twins have needed to get over the hump. 3-1 since the All-Star Break, and a week before the trade deadline. BUY!
Minor Details: Games of 7/22
Oswaldo Arcia stays hot at AAA. Dalton Hicks has a big day for Fort Myers. Adam Brett Walker II does it again.
