2023 Game 69. Detroit at Minnesota
a rare 6:10 non weekend home start time
In the standings Detroit are closer to the Twins (7 games back) than they are to the Royals in last place (10 games up )
Matthew Boyd goes for the Tigers, he has 2 decisions in his last 4 starts (0-2). Sonny Gray gets the nod for the Twins, he has 1 decision in the his 7 starts (0-1)
Byron Buxton is back. and batting cleanup. We almost got a full lineup on our hands! With just Jorge Polanco still on the IL.
Game 157. Twins in Motown
Joe Ryan been pretty good against AL Central teams
2022 Game Log 103 – Tigers at Twins
Nothing like playing the Tigers to cure what ails you so Twins are hoping to add to their victory total as we head into the dog days of summer. Matt Manning on for the Tigers and it's his first start back after being on the 60-day DL for shoulder problems. I'm guessing he's on a pitch count so hopefully the Twins can get lots of bats against that bullpen. Chris Archer on for the Twins after having his start moved back a day, perhaps the extra rest will get him to pitch into the 6th inning.
I usually write these in the morning so no word on trades but by game time we will know if the Twins upgraded their roster at all for this 60-game stretch run. (Narrator: They did in fact upgrade their roster).
Looks hot and sunny for a 6:40p first pitch.

Game 95. Twins in Hockeytown

Game 53. Minnesota at Detroit in progress
Maybe the player are eating too many Little Cesaers pizzas and thats why the bats went silent
2022 Game Log 50 and 51
Today we get two games as the Twins and Tigers are in the middle of a rare 5 game series. Due to Covid, doubleheaders, etc., I am guessing some pretty interesting line ups for both games.
Game 1: First pitch at 12:10 Darren Smeltzer against Rony Garcia
Game 2: First Pitch at 6:10 Cole Sands against Joey Wentz.
