November 10, 2013: Black Thursday
We open at 6pm Thanksgiving night this year. Our GM, who is obsessed with work, was very surprised to learn that some people weren't happy and excited about it. This is very amusing to me. I don't actually mind, as my family is over a thousand miles away, but man, that's some level of delusion.
This Week in Twins Transactions
Many of our friends are now available for parties and bar mitzvahs.
This Week in Ex-Twins
These are as of Friday morning, so if something has happened since, we'll pick it up next week. Interesting how they say someone "elects" free agency, as if he had the option of staying with his team.
Australian Audit: Games of 11/8
A big day for Trent Oeltjen. A Tripp-el double gives Perth the early lead.
Mexican Matchups: Games of 11/8
Clutch hitting carries Guasave. A comeback by Hermosillo. Culiacan has the right Angle.
Puerto Rican Publication: Games of 11/8
Daniel Ortiz leads Mayaguez to a win. A good day for Kennys Vargas, too.
Dominican Digest: Games of 11/8
Free baseball in two of the three games. Lots of pitchers used in Oriente. A wild pitch decides things in Cibao.
Cold weather running
Got out and did a 10-mile run this morning w/ the temps at 31F. I tried some gear changes per this marathoner at my running store and they worked out great.
9 Nov 2013: Guinness
I don't drink coffee, but I am having a pint whilst watching the match. Up and feeling motivated, I made a soccer open thread for the weekend.
