Twins Game 98: Angels at Twins
I don't see a game log, so here is one. Brent Rooker is finally up and will be the DH tonight. J. A. Happ is on the mound, which doesn't give me a lot of confidence, but he has pitched good games sometimes, so maybe he will tonight. It's baseball, and as Joaquin Andujar told us, youneverknow. Go Twins!

I think that holiday my friends and I made up is today. I should ask...
JULY 23, 2021: Draggin’
I was late on the video, FMD, and I'll just put on a cup while I'm at it.
I worked nights this week for the first time in a while. Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. And I made a point of dropping my coffee habit while making that transition back and forth.
FRIDAY MUSIC DAY – WHAT’S YOUR JAM?
I'm going to link again to the dance video for today's WGOM Video. I just think these kids are so cool.
Do you have favorite dance music, either as performance, out in public or at a show, or just on your own at home. What gets you grooving?
And drop your lists. Thanks for a good week, everyone!
ONUKA – Vidlik
Another song I picked up this year watching dance routines. This one was a winner at the kids' nationals. These ladies are pretty amazing, especially as high-schoolers. The dance teacher who put this number together seems like something of a savant for choreography. All her stuff ends up doing really well and being fun to watch. Check out their performance, below. You can't hear me whooping among the crowd, but I was, believe me.

The World’s Greatest Online Magazine Presents The Half-Baked Podcast: 08.5: Quarter Baked
Okay, so the first half of this podcast is still in the shop. We talked about the Wild and their future in that part, and hopefully we can get that fixed up soon.
The second half, which did survive unfortunately, was all about the Twins. Oh, and we feature some songs from the Summer Mix (which is soooooo good).
2021 Game 97: Angeli versus Gemini
Game Time - 7:10 p.m. CT
Gates Open - 5:30 p.m. CT
During the last home stand I noticed a few ushers sitting in the bleachers during BP collecting baseballs hit up there. I asked one of them about it and he said they give them to kids during the ballgame. I think I'm gonna be one of those guys now. Lots of promotions at the ballpark this weekend. Tonight is Celebrate Diversity day with free shirts to the first 10,000 fans. Friday is postgame fireworks and Josh Donaldson Bobblehead night with the wobbly souvenirs going to the first 10,000 fans through the gates. Saturday and Sunday are Back to School weekend with an undisclosed back to school item going the the first 5,000 fans 12 and under each day.
My wife is convinced that every year the Twins get on a roll of winning right before the All-Star break and then go on a losing streak after the break. I haven't done the research on previous years yet, but this year we won the last four games before the break and lost the first three games after, and we've only won two and lost five since coming off the mid-season intermission. That's mainly due to bad luck from not playing very good.
Kenta Maeda (4-3) today gets his 16th start of the year for the Twins. He's sitting on a 4.71 ERA, almost a point higher than his career total, but he's got 79 Ks in about 73 innings. He's only walked 14 batters, though, and over his last seven starts his WHIP is a meager 1.14.
Andrew Heaney (5-7) gets the start for the Angels today. He sports a 5.56 ERA, also about a point higher than his career total. He's lefthanded and breathing. Play ball!
