2023 Game Log 11 – White Sox at Twins

Ten games in and I think we can see a definite pattern here. Twins starting pitching is pretty good and the hitters not so much. Ten games is practically the definition of SSS so I'm still in a wait in see situation, especially as it relates to pitching.

Old Twin friend Lance Lynn on the mound for the Whities and he's been terrible this year, again SSS but he has an ERA of 9.0 and a WHIP of 1.90. Yikes! New staff ace Pablo Lopez on for the Twins and I'm really looking forward to see how he does at Target Field.

Should be a gorgeous night for baseball and given game times this year, you can wrap up this game and move directly to Twolves-Lakers without missing a beat!

First pitch at 6:40.

2023 Game 10 – Pale Hosers vs North Subs (in progress)

Carlos Correa was a late scratch due to back spasms. Buxton gets a day off. Gallo is day-to-day and out of the lineup again today. Kepler is on the 10-day IL with patellar tendinitis, and Polanco is rehabbing in the minors. That means two things:

1) Of the Twins’ $158 million payroll, $75.476 million is out of the lineup today. If Jeffers had be scheduled to catch instead of Vásquez, that number would be $85.476 million.

2) Nick Gordon, cleanup hitter.

CUBS 11, SAINTS 2 IN ST. PAUL

Already leading 5-2, Iowa scored five in the seventh.

Andrew Bechtold was 2-for-4.

Starter Simeon Woods-Richardson pitched 3.2 innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks.  He struck out six.  No reliever pitched well.  The best was Cody Laweryson, who gave up one run on one hit and no walks and struck out one in two innings.  The seventh-inning runs came off Trever Megill in his only inning of work.

The rest of the Twins affiliates took Easter Sunday off.  There are no minor league games played on Mondays.
