Prior to beginning his major league career, Lou Brissie served in World War II.  He suffered severe leg injuries, receiving the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts, but overcame his injuries to spend seven years in the majors.

Mike Coolbaugh was the first base coach for the Tulsa Drillers when he was struck on the head with a line drive and killed.

BISONS 4, SAINTS 1 IN BUFFALO

Buffalo scored a single run in the third, fifth, sixth, and seventh.

Jose Miranda was 2-for-4.
Kyle Garlick hit a home run, his seventh.

Randy Dobnak pitched 4.1 innings, giving up two runs on seven hits and four walks and striking out two.
Ronny Henriquez pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

DRILLERS 9, WIND SURGE 1 IN WICHITA

Tulsa scored two in the first and led all the way.

Yoyner Fajardo was 2-for-4 with a walk.

Starter Travis Adams pitched just one inning due to a rain dealy.  He gave up two runs on three hits and struck out one.
Michael Boyle struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.
Will Holland, normally an infielder, pitched a perfect inning.

LUGNUTS 3, KERNELS 2 IN LANSING

Daniel Susac hit a two-run homer in the fourth to put Lansing up 3-2.

Kala'i Rosario was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, his seventh.

Marco Raya struck out four in three innings, giving up one run on two hits.
Alejandro Hidalgo pitched four innings of relief, giving up two runs on a hit and a walk and striking out three.
Jordan Carr pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

METS 1, MIGHTY MUSSELS 0 IN FORT MYERS (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)

Kevin Villavicencio singled home the game's lone run in the fourth.

Fort Myers had just two hits.
