Game 20XX: Twins @ Yankees
Alex Rodriguez, the series' main antagonist, builds a new fortress and army of robotic henchmen, led by eight new Robot Masters of his design: Dellin Betances, Aaron Hicks, Derek Jeter, Kevin Maas, Thurman Munson, Waite Hoyt, Carl Pavano and Jack chesbro. Ervin Santana is sent by his creator, Paul Molitor, to defeat A-Rod and his Robot Masters.
Game 68: Birthday Party vs….baseball?
The little one's birthday was yesterday, and his birthday party is today. Therefore, this is the game log you're getting. Although, in compete fairness, with the ugly way the team has been playing, and the even uglier way that the team has been run (training staff, personel decisions, etc) it's pretty unlikely that I would've put much more effort into it, anyway.
Nolasco takes on Pineda. If that sounds line a recipe for a good game...then your standards are probably in need of some calibration.
If I do happen to get any time to watch sports today, it'll be the US Open.

The return of the Gibson.
Half bakef game logs for everyone!
Game 55: rays @ twins
With exactly one third of the season in the books, our intrepid crew is on pace to win 48 games. That would be....not good.
It would actually be the fourth worst record (winning percentage-wise) of the integration era. It would involve losing 114 games, which would be the 6th most in the "people playing baseball" era. The 1906 Cubs didn't lose this many games in their entire season, and we're sneaking up on the 2001 Mariners' 46 games.
The nice part? They don't look like the fourth worst team in history, so it should probably get better from here - but they would be advised to hurry up and get better.
Let's see if Ervin Santana and Byron Buxton can start the resurgence.
No Twins on Leaderboards this week, but Nunez is on the batting average chart (5th) and Mauer has sneaked back on the OBP chart (7th).
Friday Music Day: WGOM Summer Mix 2016!
HJ mentioned this last week, but do get your picks in for the WGOM summer mix. The basics were covered last week, but the gist is put three song in spoilers. They don't have to be from this year, but they totally can be. We'll make a mix, then post a playlist. It was fun last year, and I have no reason to think it won't be again this year.
Your next curator starts next week! I had hoped to own this a little more, but it's been a hectic last couple of months. Next time this opportunity comes around, I'll make sure to take a winter stretch. Thanks Can of Corn for the couple of pinch hits, and thanks everyone else for putting up with the increasingly half-baked content.
In the meantime, drop your ten.
Game 50: twins @ athletics
Let's keep it going!
Santana vs.... Some oakland pitcher
Game 48: twins @ mariners
Winning streak!
We might not get a whole lot of these this season, so it's worth getting excited over them, no matter how seemingly insignificant.
You know what would go nice with that winning streak? A long winning streak.
Hughes tries to make that happen tonight. Wade Miley tries to stop him, but other than having a pretty full beard in his bbref photo, I'm not convinced. The Twins weren't supposed to win last night, and they dominated, surely they can take on Grizzly Adams and his 4.51 FIP, right?

Friday Music Day: Radiohead Edition
Last Wednesday, a friend of mine listened to Radiohead's newest, A Moon Shaped Pool, on the way back from mushroom hunting.
The album itself is good. It'll take a number of additional listens before I have any idea what to think of it, but my initial thought is that it's quite good - even if I still wish they'd bring the guitars back.
What it really got me thinking about, though, was how differently I approach music when I'm listening with someone else. I'm automatically more critical of what I'm listening to - not necessarily in a negative way, just in a slightly more mindful way. It's kind of fun. I wish I got to do it more often.
I've also been listening to a weirdly high number of NES soundtracks lately.
Drop your ten.
Game 35: twins @ the edge of the yawning abyss
I'm doing yard work on this beautiful, crisp spring day.
Santana vs. Kluber.
Joe Mauer is good, Nuñez is surprisingly good. Park hits dingers. There's your Twins on Leaderboards.
Two nine game losing streaks in the first quarter season would be a bad look. Let's win one here.
