After a beat-em-down game against Oklahoma City, the Wolves hit the road for the first time and play the Knicks at the newly renovated Madison Square Garden. Corey Brewer pestered Kevin Durant all night Friday and now his assignment is to pester Carmelo Anthony. Should be fun!
The Wolves with be without Ronnie Turiaf, he has a broken elbow. I suspect rookie Gorgui Dieng will be seeing more minutes.
Didn't catch much of the game yesterday (or at any point in the past 10 days...) due to moving. I did see Hicks was a HR short of the cycle and that rookie Chris Herrmann jacked his first career homerun. Doumit, Consensual Pork and Dozier also found the bleachers as the Twins combined for 16 hits.
Slapadiddlesack gets a win! Multiple rednecks gets the go-ahead RBI after an 0-13 stretch. Perk'n'Play gets the Save in impressive 1-2-3 fashion: 2 strike outs and a Laddie ground out and the Twins win their second series of the season.
Favorite quote from yesterday. When interviewed following the game, his second in the majors, Twins starter Pedro Hernandez said he wasn't nervous in his 2013 debut.
"Not really," [he] said. "This game is for men, this game is not for a child."
Twins are now 4-2, tied with the Pale Hose for the AL Central lead. They head to Kansas City to face Ervin Santana. In his first start for the Royals, Santana gave up 5 runs on 5 hits (3 HR's) and a walk. He also struck out 8.
the last time the Wolves had a 2 game win streak, you had to go back to Dec 7-15 (4 game win streak), Since then they have gone 7-21. Thats like Randy Wittman era like ineptitude.
The Wolves are 12-12 at home, while the Jazz are 9-18 on the road.
You know, I'm getting pretty sick of watching this team lose. I really felt like that game against NY was one they should have won. I mean, how many dunks can one team miss?
I'm known for making bold predictions, so here's one. THE WOLVES WILL WIN THIS GAME!!!
