It's consistently over 95-100 here now, and we're just not rich enough to keep it as cool as I'd like. Well, maybe I'll sweat off those pounds I've gained by getting lazy and eating fast food.

Mike Cuellar pitched in AAA in the Twins’ organization in 1961. He does not seem to have belonged to the Twins, however. It may be that he was temporarily loaned to them, a practice which was not uncommon in the 1960s.

The local radio folk are asking - nay, begging - me to see Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles. I almost want to do it just to make them shut up. Almost.

Games like this require that you look at the positives. The Twins lost the lead and then got it back again, punished the Red Sox by making them play a couple more innings. Snappleback pitched some scoreless innings. The Twins had arguably the worst outfield defense in the history of baseball, and it held the tie for a full inning.
Eat it Red Sox, the moral victory belongs with the Twins! It won't show up in the stats, but cybermetrics is a Boston thing anyways.
