Today is the last day of the English soccer season. It's crazy to think I'm on my third state to live in since the season started. It seems like the season just started. After the jump, the TV schedule and a few scenarios to keep an eye on. Continue reading Sporadic Soccer Stories – EPL 2013-14 Final Day

May 9th, 2014: Rip It
I don't drink coffee, but I'm running on very little sleep so knock-off, Dollar Tree brand energy drink it is. It doesn't taste as good as Red Bull, but it's about 1/6th the price per ounce, so it'll do.
Chicken Stir Fry
Hot on the heels of my wildly popular Mexican Tuna Melt, I thought I'd share tonight's dinner as well. Whereas the last one was the result of my raiding the pantry for anything that might plausibly go together, this meal was planned well in advance. Originally, I was going to be cooking for a dinner date, but things got postponed. But that was not going to stop me from having this delicious meal. Continue reading Chicken Stir Fry

Mexican Tuna Melt
Or a tuna quesadilla, whichever floats your barco.
I tend to eat a lot of what I'd classify as "bachelor chow" - frozen pizzas, cans of tuna, pasta in sauce. I'm actually a pretty good cook and enjoy cooking, but funds are tight so no bacon-wrapped scallops for me at the moment. I hope I don't cause our resident gourmands any embarrassment to share a post category with me, but I thought I'd share something I whipped up that turned out, I thought, very well. WGOM Tools – Board Games
Pursuant to punman's LTE about board games, I emailed the little brother to see what board games he's into. A little background on the guy: He's crazy for board games. For about 5 straight Christmases and birthdays, that's all he's asked for. He watches Wil Wheaton's TableTop like I watch Archer, repeatedly and often. Here's his list of games he currently owns: Continue reading WGOM Tools – Board Games
Gossling – “Days Are Over”
Hey guys, it's Mags again. I'm gonna spin a couple more SXSW artists. I'm not gonna go crazy with it, just on a Saturday here and there. Because believe me, I could fill at least 3 weeks, but that seems a bit excessive, so just a few highlights.
This one is Gossling. I saw them at the Aussie BBQ, which featured exclusively bands from Australia. I picked them over the other band I really liked (Miami Horror) because I immediately developed a huge crush on the singer. Shallow? Probably. Am I sorry? Not in the slightest.

The songs they did at the BBQ were a little more electronic(?) than this one, which I felt suited her voice better.
USA v. Mexico Friendly
just kicked off on ESPN. Sir Ian is on the mic. Unfortnately, the jerseys released yesterday by Nike were not an April Fool's joke.
I dunno if anyone else is watching, but if you are, here's the thread for it.
Chromeo – “Needy Girl”
I'd never heard of Chromeo before Thursday night, but I enjoyed their show. This video doesn't really capture the energy in the tent. I'm not sure what exactly to call their sound, but it's interesting.

If there's more interest, I'll see about posting a few more after we all enjoy The Dread Pirate's selections.
