Game 106: Twins @ Cardinals
We get another start from Big Mike! That's not something a lot of people thought would happen, but with Berrios and Happ gone, Pineda gets to be the veteran starter for the rest of this season. He's had two good starts since the All- Star break, classic Pineda starts of 5 or 6 innings, allowing 1 or 2 runs. You know, the kind of starts that apparently have no trade value.
Let's all take a minute to appreciate Jorge Polanco's July: .327/.366/.548, 6 HR
And there was Luis Arraez in July as well: .373/.415/.458
Alright, those are the positive vibes I got. Go Twins!
Game 105: twins @ cardinals
Bailey Over takes the mound today.
Last game in July. They're 10-16 so far in July, which is pretty poor.

Guess JA Happ didnt have to go far after the trade.
2021 Game 103: Detroit Tigers at Minnesota Twins
Wily Peralta
vs
J.A. Happ
This will be the week of last starts for some Twins' pitchers. Unfortunately (fortunately?) the only relief the Twins will get in return for Happ will be a replacement level pitcher from St. Paul that won't be as bad.
2021 Game Log 102 – Tigers at Twins
I knew the Twins had stumbled out of the All Star break but I was shocked when I looked at the standings today. 15 games under .500, 3.5 games behind the Tigers! I think I've blocked out how bad it's gotten.
Maeda on the mound for the Twins, let's hope he's well rested after scoring the winning last night. Someone called Tyler Alexander for the Tigers and he looks about as mediocre as a Tigers starter would be as expected to be.
It's stinky hot and muggy tonight so not very pleasant at the ballpark if out in the sun. Let's play ball!

Game 99: angels @ twins
Berrios start! Could be one of his last as a twin. Let's make it a good one, Jose.
Twins Game 98: Angels at Twins
I don't see a game log, so here is one. Brent Rooker is finally up and will be the DH tonight. J. A. Happ is on the mound, which doesn't give me a lot of confidence, but he has pitched good games sometimes, so maybe he will tonight. It's baseball, and as Joaquin Andujar told us, youneverknow. Go Twins!
