Cibao 5, Escogido 4 in Cibao (14 innings).  Alexi Casilla was 2-for-7 with a double and a run for Cibao.  Pedro Florimon was 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI for Escogido.

Aguilas 4, Oriente 1 in Aguilas.  Luis Perdomo retired the only man he faced for Aguilas.  Esmerling Vasquez struck out both men he faced for Oriente.

PUERTO RICAN LEAGUE

Caguas 6, Mayaguez 5 in Caguas (10 innings).  Daniel Ortiz was 1-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one, for Mayaguez.  Eddie Rosario was used as a pinch-runner for Mayaguez.  Nelvin Fuentes retired all four batters he faced for Mayaguez.

Ponce 3, Carolina 2 in Ponce.  Angel Morales pinch-hit and struck out for Ponce.

AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE

Sydney 3, Canberra 2 in Sydney (11 innings).  Jacob Younis was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs for Sydney.

I mentioned a dissection of the Grammy nominations would go here this week. I guess I was being overly optimistic. I did read through a lot and I'm really surprised to find out that Grammys voters like Bruno Mars and Skrillex.

Also, Pitchfork and many other publications have released their top songs/albums lists. Feel free to discuss their lists, but again refrain from sharing your best-of until 2011 is at least 99% over.

VENEZUELAN LEAGUE

Caracas 8, Magallanes 5 in Caracas.  Deolis Guerra surrendered four runs on four hits in one inning for Magallanes.  Pedro Guerra allowed an unearned run on a hit and a walk in a third of an inning.

AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE

Sydney 1, Canberra 0 in Sydney.  Jacob Younis was 0-for-3 for Sydney.
