2012 Game 63: Milwaukee Brewers at Minnesota Twins

Yovani Gallardo
v
Francisco Liriano

Time to start another series winning streak. The Royals just swept the Brewers, so surely the Twins can take at least two out of three, right? The Pirates are next and although they have a winning record, B-R's SRS system rates them a -0.5, so there's another winnable series. Just burst the bubble that needs to be burst before something drastic happens, like the Pirates making it to the postseason. Finally, uh, let me check the master schedule I have saved to keep the sidebar updated... Right, Cincinnati is next and they're actually kind of good. That's okay, just take things one game at a time and work your way up to a bit of a challenge. Because then it's the White Sox next and it's always fun to beat them.

Where They Stand

Minnesota is 25-37, fifth in the AL Central, 8.5 games behind the White Sox.  The Twins have lost two consecutive games and are 6-4 in their last ten games.

Rochester is 30-36, sixth in the IL North, 11.5 games behind Pawtucket.  The Red Wings have won one consecutive game and are 6-4 in their last ten games.

New Britain is 35-29, third in the EL Eastern, 2 games behind Trenton.  The Rock Cats have lost two consecutive games and are 3-7 in their last ten games.

Fort Myers is 27-37, fifth in the FSL South, 20.5 games behind St. Lucie.  The Miracle has lost one consecutive game and is 6-4 in its last ten games.  The first half of the FSL season is now over.

Beloit is 38-29, second in the ML Western, 6 games behind Wisconsin.  The Snappers have won one consecutive game and are 4-6 in their last ten games.  They have clinched second place in their division for the first half, which guarantees them a playoff spot.

The DSL Twins are 4-7, tied for sixth in the B. C. B. C., 4 games behind the Diamondbacks.  The Twins have lost four consecutive games and are 3-7 in their last ten games.
