Minnesota (43-64) at Cleveland (60-45)
Hector Santiago (10-4, 4.25) v. Mike Clevenger (0-1, 7.71)
Our first look at Santiago. Can the Twins get the sweep? It's an early start time, folks. Enjoy!

So, tomorrow is the two-thirds point of the season...I'm feeling a tad regretful over how little I've watched, in that case. On the other hand, I assume I was having fun doing whatever the hell I was doing in place of watching this team.
All the same, they've been at least decent lately, and could pull off an unlikely sweep if somehow Tyler Duffey can pitch better than Trevor Bauer, which is not the ideal matchup to complete a sweep, but I guess that's what we've got. I might catch the beginning of this, but I'll be meeting freealonzo at US Bank Stadium to see the Blues take on AC Milan, and as much as I wouldn't hate seeing this game, I would always regret missing Chelsea when they were just a handful of miles away.
Go Twins! Maybe we'll check in late in the game when the match is starting.
Already in progress. Our best shot at the Rookie of the Year award is raking.
How not to pitch to Kepler; see HRs, Second
First Pitch 1:10 pm
Ervin Santana (3-9, 3.78 ERA, 80 K, 1.242 WHIP)
Carlos Rodon (2-7, 4.50 ERA, 91 K, 1.533 WHIP)
The Twins today will try to win a home series against the White Sox that they should have won last night. For me, the highlight of this series has been seeing Justin Morneau play at Target Field. I don't know that I've ever seen a player from the visiting team cheered so loudly by the home crowd for smashing a home run as when he lined his dinger many moose antlers over the outfield wall yesterday. I've got a soft spot for that big Canuck, and it seems a lot of other Twins fans do, too. Several years ago when I decided to splurge on one of those nice Majestic jerseys, I got a Morneau 33. And I still chuckle, just a little bit, when I hear somebody say his name and in my head I hear, "Rhymes with porno."
Ervin Santana back on the hill for the Twins today after taking the loss in a 2-0 complete game in his last start. For the White Sox, Carlos Rodon comes off the disabled list today for his first start since July 5th. Don't know if I'll get to watch this one, I have a lot of stuff to get done today. That's what I get for procrastinating, I suppose.
Play ball!
Escobar!!?
Its the return of The Mountie. Even in Chicago clothes, I will still cheer for him.
Joe Mauer hit a triple last night. His 27th of his career. That is actually 13th all time on the Twins franchise list. That kind of surprised me! It will be a stretch to move up a slot, John Castino is 12th with 34 triples.
Enjoy the game!
I'll be flipping back and forth between the end of the Twins game and the DNC. I see the Twins have 6 runs currently, which is 4 more than the [insert opposition here, since I forgot to see who it was.]. So that's good.
Duffman ran out of beer.
Admit it, you’ve had this game circled on the calendar since the schedules came out last fall. Twins-Barves. Jack Morris v. John Smoltz. Red State-Blue State. North v. South. Two struggling teams trying to rekindle the glory of 1991 or at least position themselves to draft J.B. Bukauskas next June. A.J. Pierzynski’s triumphant return home.
Ervin Santana on the mound for the Twins in what may be his last chance to smell baseball for hometown nine. Weather looks glorious for outdoor baseball. I’ll be there if anyone wants to mini-caucus. And if you want to boo A.J., you won’t catch any shade from me. Want to cheer him? That works too.
