Hope we score more tonight than we did last night. Go Twins!

2020 Game 6: Cleveland at Twins
Not so surprisingly, the Twins are one of the three best teams in the league by record at the time of this writing. More surprisingly is that the other two are the Rockies and the Padres.
It feels very strange to write about the Twins right now as if I believe the season will just go on, but for now, I foolishly remain hopeful that we had our one misstep and from here on out, it's smooth sailing. Cleveland, who's apparently mulling a name change also, sends Shane Bieber against Jose Berrios in what should be a good matchup, assuming Berrios goes ahead and forgets what happened on Opening Day (for his part, Bieber threw six scoreless against the Royals, with 14 of his 18 outs being of the strike variety. Bieber is extremely prone to giving up the long ball, however, so let's sit back and enjoy the three true outcomes tonight.
2020 Game 5: St. Louis Cardinals at Minnesota Twins
Daniel Ponce de Leon
vs
Rich Hill
I don't know how much 40-year-old Hill can provide. 40-year-old Cruz remains ageless while cast-off Bailey did just fine yesterday. Hill started 13 games last year with otherwise excellent numbers. If he starts 13 games this year, it will mean very different things from last year.
Every morning I let the two-year-old pick out his shirt. He had already picked out one shirt when I showed him "the baseball" shirt while I put away the laundry. Immediately, the current choice was cast aside and he demanded the baseball shirt. I get it little guy, I too want to enjoy this season while it lasts.
2020 Game 4 — Cardinals at Twins
Twins begin their 2020 home season schedule with a National League opponent for the first time ever which seems appropriate given this weird season. The St. Louis Cardinals should be pretty decent this year so a good gauge early on what the Twins could be.
Homer Bailey up for the Twins and let’s hope that he forgets to pitch to name. Carlos Martinez pitching for the Cards. He was a reliever last year but is going back to being a starter for 2020.
Game time at 7:10p with some early season opener festivities. At 8:46p a moment of silence for George Floyd and apparently there will be a memorial mural on the outfield wall in his honor. Don’t read the Strib comments!
So baseball’s back baby. Let’s continue what was started in Chicago.
Game 3 Twins in Chicago
Lets get a series win!
Game 2: twins @ white sox
Yesterday actually happened. There was a meaningful, delightful baseball game. Kepler actually swatted the first pitch he saw over the right field fence. I actually got to sit on the floor with my son and we both got to watch our bullpen decimate the White Sox lineup while we played with Legos.
That was great. What do they have for an encore?
The Übermensch takes on Dallas Keuchel. Now, in theory, this is the type of matchup that we've kind of weary of over the past couple of years. Their Cy Young alum takes on our second year fodder. A few problems with that live off thinking though:
* The Übermensch isn't just fodder. He was a fine pitcher down the stretch last year, and I feel like as deep as our rotation is here, he'll break into it this summer.
* This is not 2015 Kid Keuchel. He's an old man now. He has tennis balls in his garage to help him park his minivan. He has to take a motorized scooter to get to the pitching mound, and has to take a walker to get to the top of it. He BARELY cracks 93 anymore.
* This lineup, you guys. Rosario WALKED in his first plate appearance of the season. They justifiably batted a potential batting champion 9th. Max Kepler may break the all time home run record by the end of April err, August.
This is going to be good. Go Twins!!
