Will the hot bats continue? I hope so!
Happy Bartolo Day!

Happy Bartolo Day!
I suppose I could "Sell hope" and say that the Twins still have a shot of getting back into thing because the next week or so, they play the dregs of the AL and NL. But I'm not doing that. This team does not have the bullpen arms to make it.
But I also hope they don't trade off the good players for pennies. If Ervin Santana is pitching for us in September thats fine by me. If he gets flipped for Mike Trout, thats cool too.
Jaime Garcia gets his first (only?) start for the Twins. We'll see how his stuf plays in the American League. The A's are tossing out a rookie named Daniel Gossett. (insert seligshrug.gif here)
The second half begins! The Twins are in the hunt for a division title or a wild card slot, but I am thinking there is not enough starting and relief pitching to get the Twins there. I know, a scorching take right there.
One pitcher I trust is Jose Berrios. He starts tonight so thats good. But the Twins are playing the best team in the AL, the Houston Astros.
Maybe we'll sweep the 'Stros like they swept us at Target Field!
With the win last night, it guarantees the Twins will be at or above .500 at the All Star Break. I would have never guessed that during Spring Training.
Felix Jorge starts tonight. He showed enough in his last start to at least get a second and third try. Kevin Gausman o for the O's. In his last 5 starts against the Twins, he has pitched 24 innings and surrendered 18 runs. I like our chances for a W tonight!
Here we are again, another big series against the Clevelanders. Lets hope for a better result than last weekend.
Meija goes for the Twins. He was ok his last start, but it was cut short because of rain. Trevor Bauer for the C's. He was pretty good against the Twins on Sunday.
The Twins beat writers all tweet that Miguel Sano has a sinus infection and can come off the bench if needed.
Hope this game turns out nice!
Biggest series of the season (to date) and no Berrios and Santana. Oofta.
The concrete is cured.
The Twins started this west coast trip tied for first place. After 7 games they are 1.5 games up. It sure doesn't seem like they have been playing winning baseball, but here we are.
Ervin Santana wil start for the Twins trying to get back to winning ways after a really bad performance last outing. For Ray Matt Moore goes for the Giants.
Fun fact! This will be the first time Santana has pitched against the Giants.
no score!
