Okay, in our muskmelon discussion, everyone kept bringing up watermelons, which are gourds. Let's discuss them in their proper context. I'm even going to let you vote twice this time.

(And yes, I know many other things fall under the gourd family, but these are your choices.)

Tucker Bradley hit a two-run double in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie.

Mark Contreras was 2-for-3 with a double.
Jair Camargo was 2-for-4 with a double.

Randy Dobnak struck out six in four innings, giving up one run on four hits and a walk.
Andrew Bechtold pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk.
Austin Schulfer struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk.
Ronny Henriquez pitched a perfect inning and struck out one.

WIND SURGE 12, SOD POODLES 6 IN AMARILLO

Wichita scored four in the fifth to take a 4-2 lead and added five in the sixth to go up 11-3.

Trailing 7-3, Fort Myers scored eight in the ninth.  Ricardo Olivar hit a three-run homer in the inning.

Maddux Houghton was 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
Rubel Cespedes was 2-for-3 with a home run (his ninth) and a walk.
Danny De Andrade was 2-for-5 with a double and a walk.
Olivar was 2-for-6 with a three-run homer, his eighth.

Samuel Perez pitched three innings, giving up two runs on three hits and striking out three.
Jackson Hicks struck out three in two perfect innings.

Shigeru Takada was a star in Japan from 1968-1980.  He also was a manager, general manager, and television commentator.

Jim Wolf has been a major league umpire since 1999.

Pitcher Brent Stentz did not play in the majors, but was in the Twins’ minor league system from 1997-2001.  In 1998, he set an Eastern League record with 43 saves.
