Friday Music Day: July 12, 2013

After thinking way too hard about things, and then completely putting it aside. My Summer mix CD finally came together this week. Actually 2 CDs because there was some Noisy, Harsh, and "Cursive" music that I really wanted for myself in the van. So that freed me up to not worry about cutting the good stuff that only I would like in favor of special requests from EAR, HPR, and the XXRs to keep their fave songs on, even if I don't like. Thanks to those here that provided suggestions. Final results after the break. Continue reading Friday Music Day: July 12, 2013

That’s a lot easier to do with COD than it is with Baseball.

July 11, 2013: Again

I might be running out of ways to say I'm sick of watching the Twins be this bad, guys. How did I ever get through 1993-2000? Well, I know how I got through those years, but college is over and I can't really go back to all that again. I'm glad I've got a few other obsessions.

Shrimp Lettuce Cups

Given some of the culinary smart-people we have running around this site, I hardly feel qualified to put up a recipe.  But I'm just so darn happy with how dinner tonight turned out (no recipe, this just made sense to me! I'm sure I've had something like it somewhere else before, of course. Still...), that I figured I'd put something together.  Also, many of these ingredients came from our CSA this week. Also, I want other people to put up recipes more often, in dedicated Nation Has An Appetite form, so they're easier for me to find when I want them.  So I'll lead the way.
