I'll admit to feeling pretty good about the Twins. They're still an awful team, but winning two out of three in New York since ever helps a lot.

Ah, a merciful end comes as we enter the All-Star break. The Twins are 38-53, which is right around the disaster we feared they'd be at the "half." This AL East tour certainly did the team no favors. The Yankees are 51-43 but are sitting in fourth in their always-ridiculous division.
Kyle Gibson, who has one win, faces Captain Cheeseburger, who has two hundred. I plan to watch the Yankee feed, but if it's a CC love-fest I might have to rethink things.
A series win in New York...it's impossible, right? Let's see it anyway, Twins.
There is a game at noon
Samuel 'Ace' Deduno vs. Phil Hughes
Baby steps now, fellas... let's try for a run, then we can get to the details of how to keep Robinson Cano from bolstering his MVP case.

After being swept at home by the Yankees, can't say I'm feeling particularly positive about a series in New York. At least now there's a simple reason why the Yankees sweep them: the Twins suck.
Because I don't see a game log, and the game's about to start.

A real Jeremy shows himself. Or not.
GO TWINS!
Gibson (1-1, 7.94 ERA) vs. Archer (2-3, 4.17 ERA)
I think I completely missed Gibson's crappy start that makes his ERA look really bad. Since I have no recollection of it, it must not have happened and the stats are all just typos.
Anyway, this AL East trip has shoved me all the way down into indifference for the year. That, and I've had to increase my time away from the internet at home to take care of stuff around the house and help with the Trinket now that we're nearing the end of this pregnancy. I hope the next manager of the team (I assume it'll be Mientkiewicz since his team is winning) is able to beat these guys next year. Also, the Twins are double digit games out of first base. I think its time to trade away all the vets (Joe excepted) and just bring up everyone from the minors and see what we got.
Sam "Ace" Deduno vs. Roberto "Don't Call Me Fausto" Hernandez
Twins arrived in Tampa 5 hours late last night due to mechanical problems with the plane. If they didn't show up, would anyone notice? If they sent the Miracle over to play in their place, would they have a better chance at winning? Will this Game Log have fewer page views than the latest Minor Details?
The Twins meet the Jays once more after a week or so of moving in opposite directions. Scott Diamond goes for the Twins, and I sure as heckfire do hope he's not ruined after his injury. The Jays start something called Todd Redmond, who has four appearances in his life, and just one start (not this year). He was mildly serviceable as a starter in AAA, having two meh years in 09-10, a nice year in 11 and an okay year in 12. I can't imagine he projects to be a long-term starter in the majors, but hey, I'll root for him starting after this game.
Go Twins! We're now double-digit games under .500. Let's fix that.
Pelfrey rejoins the Twins, former Twins great RA Dickey pitchers for the Jays
