Arpège Duo is George Durham on cello and Kihwa Lee on harp.
Wonderful piece played beautifully and shot with style.

Game 91: twins @ athletics
Game already in progress.
Bum wheel
I ran a trail run on Thursday night at Penwood State Forest with some friends - good temps, great run. At one point, I tripped on a root and started to fall, but recovered. Didn't notice anything weird that night.
All day Friday I felt sore, and it hurt to stand up. This morning, we were to do a triathlon at Lake Waramaug (Hopkins) and I could barely stand from a sitting position without wincing pain.
NBBW did well but I sat it out, and read Pynchon in a camp chair along the route. Not sure what the injury is but I'm thinking something in the hamstring cluster.
What is the Nation doing for fitness besides watching the Tour de France trying to run over cows?
July 18th, 2015: Too Freekin Hot
This is like the worst day possible for a garage sale. On the other hand, it's a perfect day for the trinket to have her first lemonade stand. I'm pretty sure half her sales are due to adorableness, so all we're probably really doing is teaching her that it's more about appearances.

Game 90 recap: Twins 5 A’s 0
Brian Dozier led off the game with a home run and Trevor Plouffe added a grand slam as the Twins kicked off thier post All Star break schedule with a win over Oakland 5-0.
Its getting to the point where I am expecting Dozier to hit one out every at bat. How high can his HR total fly? Will he hit more that Justin Morneau's 34 or Josh Willingham's 35? Its possible!
Ervin Santana pitched pretty well going 7.2 allowing 5 hits and a walk. Brian Duensing pitched in the 8thas Santana seemed to run out of gas, then finished out the 9th with a clean appearance.
Going back to Plouffe's grand slam, the key to that at bat was the one taken by Miguel Sano. He battled and fought his way to get a walk. Just my observation, in the brief time Sano has been with the Twins, he doesnt look lost at the plate like Buxton did and has drawn a couple tough walks. I think he is a keeper.
The Twins are now 50 -40 on the year. Its just fantastic and the trudgery the last few years have been following this team. I hope win 60 comes in just 10 more games.
Deathprod – Treetop Drive
Oslo, Norway, 2014
A big shout-out to Will Oldham for making me aware of the dark ambient music of Norwegian artist Helge Sten, who goes by the moniker Deathprod. The whole of "Treetop Drive" is three movements that clock in at over a half an hour. This is a truncated version. This became one of my favorite pieces to paint to last winter. I also nicked part of it for a short film I put together last Fall.
Game 90. Twins at Oakland. West Coast Baseball!
So we had to sit through 4 days without Twins baseball then the scheduled gods make us Central time zoners with a few more extra hours to get our baseball fix. Uggggh.
Ervin "Not Johan" Santana throws for the locals, Sonny "Probably doesnt drink Earl" Gray throws for Oakland.
July 17, 2015: Mom
Today is my mom's birthday. I wouldn't have bothered to share that, except that we needed a COC, and it was all I could think of for the subject. So there we are.
But hey, baseball's back tonight! I probably should have gone with that for our header, huh? Oh well.
Minor Details: Games of July 16
Two homers and Tyler Duffey were all the Red Wings needed. Max Kepler was back, but no one else showed up on offense as the Lookouts were the shutouts. A three-run homer sinks the Miracle. A Kernels comeback falls short. The E-Twins waste good pitching from Miles Nordgren. A strong finish for the DSL Twins.
