Twins Log Game 114 – Paler Hosers at Twins

Oof, another drubbing by the White Sox. If I had some time I'd love to see what the run differential has been between these two teams this year. Thankfully not a lot of games left against the Sox.

Griffin Jax on the mound for the Twins and he's been a nice little addition in mid to late summer. Not sure what his long term prospects are but at least he's not in the J.A. Happ territory. Dallas Keuchel on the mound for Chicago and he's been a decent of the back of the rotation guy: gives the team a chance to win and eats up some innings. Twins could use someone like that.

First pitch at 7:10

2021 Game Log 112: Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins

Tornado sirens are going off as I type this, so hopefully I won't be blown away before the game.

It's gonna have to be the tornado that blows me away, because these Twins aren't going to do it! They are coming off a nice series against the Astros, but the White Sox have not been kind to the Gemini this year. Something called Beau Burrows is getting his first start today against Giolito. Is that an opener thing? Dunno. Does it matter?

Uh, go Twins!

2021 Game 109: Twins at Astros

Game Time - 7:10 p.m. CDT

The Twins made multiple deals ahead of the trade deadline last week as they "retool for the future." No word on when that future is expected to arrive. Fans are asked to remain patient while the retooling  process is underway.

Griffin Jax on the mound for the Twins today. He's 1-1 in 3 starts with a 6.41 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP, so there's some room for improvement here. Framber Valdez takes the ball for the Astros. He's got a 7-2 record, a 3.01 ERA, and a 1.30 WHIP. Play ball!

Game 106: Twins @ Cardinals

We get another start from Big Mike! That's not something a lot of people thought would happen, but with Berrios and Happ gone, Pineda gets to be the veteran starter for the rest of this season. He's had two good starts since the All- Star break, classic Pineda starts of 5 or 6 innings, allowing 1 or 2 runs. You know, the kind of starts that apparently have no trade value.

Let's all take a minute to appreciate Jorge Polanco's July:  .327/.366/.548, 6 HR

And there was Luis Arraez in July as well:  .373/.415/.458

Alright,  those are the positive vibes I got.  Go Twins!
